Globe is delighted to announce that we have been chosen as a strategic partner by Staffordshire Community Energy (SCE) to identify and secure sites for community solar projects across the county. This exciting collaboration marks a significant step forward in our shared commitment to a sustainable future for Staffordshire.
Staffordshire Community Energy is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to generating clean, affordable energy for local communities. By working together, we aim to install solar panels on a range of suitable sites, generating renewable electricity and creating a positive impact on the environment.
The revenue generated from these solar projects will be reinvested back into the community, funding vital social initiatives and supporting local projects. This approach aligns perfectly with Globe’s mission to create a thriving and sustainable Staffordshire for everyone, particularly in relation to tackling fuel poverty.
Kate Copeland-Rhodes, Managing Director for The Globe Group CIC said “We believe that our expertise in project management, client and community engagement, combined with SCE’s passion for renewable energy and local impact, make us an ideal partnership. We’re excited to embark on this journey and look forward to sharing updates on our progress as the project develops.”
